Children have delighted in the telling of Clement Moore’s classic A Visit From St. Nicholas — with its famous opening line, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas — for nearly 200 years. Each December, hundreds of area pre-school and kindergarten students join us for a cozy story time accompanied by a lively hand puppet show and timeless seasonal tunes. Students enjoy a scavenger hunt, while learning a bit about the history of the Granger Homestead and the family’s holiday traditions, and conclude the visit with a sugar-plum tasting.
